Success Story
12% Bounce Rate to 1.8%
How the Seattle Latino Chamber of Commerce fixed their deliverability
The Chamber sends regular updates to its members and partners through Constant Contact. Around late 2025, fewer of them were arriving. Open and click rates slipped, and more messages were coming back as rejected, even though the team hadn't changed how or what they were sending.

The Challenge
The problem was hidden in the contact list. Out of roughly 5,000 contacts, a growing number could no longer receive email. Some inboxes had closed. Some members had changed jobs and lost their old work email addresses. Others held simple typos from when they were first collected. All of them still looked valid in the system, so the Chamber kept emailing them.
A few years ago, those dead addresses would have been harmless. Not anymore. Providers like Gmail and Outlook now watch how often a sender’s messages are undelivered (bounced back) and the Chamber’s rejection rate had reached 12% — well above the 2–3% considered healthy. Its sender reputation was slipping, and that was starting to affect delivery to active, valid contacts too.

The Results
- Undelivered emails dropped by 85%.
- Click rates rose 50%, from 2% to 3%, as messages reached real, active contacts.
- Deliverability stabilized. With fewer failed sends, providers could see the list was being actively maintained.
After cleaning our email list with No Más Rebotes, our rejection rate dropped from 12% to less than 2% compared to the prior year. A clean list is a foundational requirement for reliable email delivery.
